Sloggi balloon turns heads, 36,396 to be precise, at the London Marathon

G-REAR, Sloggi II was tethered at the start gate of the Flora London Marathon this morning.

Gaining various TV coverage including BBC1, BBC News 24 and Sky News the balloon was tethered for three hours.

36,396 people ran past the balloon meaning the total estimated people who saw the balloon this morning at 4.8m

Batman, pictured here with the balloon, real name David Green, broke the record for the fastest marathon by anyone in a super hero outfit. This was ratified today by the Guinness book of World Records.
