6th January 2008 - Team exclusive have won their first major ballooning championships of the year in Mondovi, near Turin Italy which is set to be the venue for the 2009 World Air Games. Team exclusive were flying G-Cerm Blink, a Kubicek 77.

22nd September 2007 - The book people launched their new balloon in style today with a private party for 400 invited guests and some special catering. TV chef James Martin was on hand to oversee lunch while guests took a ride in the new balloon which tethered until late into the evening.

14th August 2007 - Team Sloggi have finished first and second in the race to win a £5,000 Parmigian watch at the Bristol international Balloon Fiesta. Andy Booth flying G-REAR Sloggi Stringtime finished first with Andrew Holly flying G-IRLZ Sloggi Hot Hips just centimetres behind in second place. Andy said "I love flying the Sloggi balloon" and is speechless at winning the £5,000 watch!

3rd June 2007 - Team Sloggi have won Gold in the 2007 Adria Cup, Zagreb, Croatia. Competition was fierce with the top three pilots separated by just 4cm on the final task. It is Sloggi 3 (G-IRLZ) fifth accolade in only seven competitive outings. This followed a Silver medal position during the same week missing a double gold by just 2 points out of thousands. It was very nearly a triple success as Team Sloggi came within a metre of winning the separate key grab competition on the Sunday Evening.

1st June 2007 - Team Sloggi Win Silver in Croatian open Championship. Team Sloggi have finished second in their first outing to Croatia missing gold by just 2 points out of thousands scored. Tasks included hare and hound flights following the local pilot and clearly local knowledge was the key to doing well. The Team are also in Croatia to compete at the Adria Cup which finishes on the 3rd June

24th May 2007 - This week saw the launch of a new balloon for Buckinghamshire based AMO.The balloon was launched on Wooburn village green this morning where staff, villagers and press were invited to come and fly.The balloon, G-CEJZ is a Cameron C-90, stands 90 feet tall, will hold 90,000 basketballs and it would take 2,548,516 lungfuls of breath to blow it open!

22nd May 2007 - The AMO Balloon met up with the children of St, Pauls Primary School, Gloucester today for a lesson in thermodynamics. The launch site was actually Calton Road Primary School, Gloucester in order to give the balloon enough room for take off. children had not seen a balloon before, let alone one this close. The pilot and crew gave a talk about how hot air balloons work before inflating the 90 foot tall balloon for a photocall.

02 May 2007 - Andrew Holly has retired from the UK Counties Challenge competition ten years to the day of his first P1 flight. Andrew and his team fronted by long term crew chief Neil Edmunds, have been unbeaten in the competition in ten years.We have racked up over 200 trophies in the competition and have set many records within individual counties.

22nd April 2007 - G-REAR, Sloggi II was tethered at the start gate of the Flora London Marathon this morning. Gaining various TV coverage including BBC1, BBC News 24 and Sky News the balloon was tethered for three hours. 36,396 people ran past the balloon meaning the total estimated people who saw the balloon this morning at 4.8m.

7th Jan 2007 - Team Sloggi’s first outing of 2007 was a successful one finishing second overall at the Mondovi Balloon Festival in northern Italy. The team dropped less than 100 points from a maximum 4000 available to win the silver medal and a hand made porcelain trophy. The event was over the first weekend of the year and included one task with the target at the foot of the town’s clock tower on top of the hill.
