Andrew Holly Wins The 2010 Exclusive Cup

20th June 2010

Exclusive Ballooning's cheif pilot Andrew Holly has won the 2010 Exclusive Cup in Newport, Gloucestershire.

Following a task win with 56 cms yesterday, Andrew won the task this morning with just 64cms to just take the victory from Andrew Kaye in second and Richard Parry in third.

Nobody was more surprised than Andrew who didn't realise he had won until the scores were finalized immediately prior to prizegiving.

The event has been a great success with over 40 balloons flying again today in clear blue Gloucestershire skies. Pilots from all over the world came to compete with entrants as far afield as Austria, Italy, Czech Republic and the USA but the trophy will stay local this year in the Vale of Berkeley.

Exclusive Ballooning wish to thank everyone who helped with the organizing and administration of the event and also all the competitors and crews that made this Exclusive Balloonings' fifth competition and third Exclusive Cup so special.

The long distance prize was won by Piers Glydon who flew to the south of Frome this morning and the maximum distance prize was won by Frazer Davey who managed to fly within 100m of the edge of the map. The model ballooning champion is Exclusive Ballooning pilot Ben Alford flying the model Exclusive One so a great weekend for Exclusive Ballooning.
