At last, a high quality dedicated balloonist log book for the iPhone from a name you can trust.
The iBalloonLog has two key pages - the flight input page and the flight summary page. The straight forward nature of this app means you'll be conversant within minutes of downloading it and ready to use as soon as you next go flying.
The flight input page has fields for date (defaulting to the current date making it easier to put your flight in as soon as you've landed), the balloon type (this saves your data so you only have to type it once), Balloon registration (again, this saves your data on a scrolling wheel), captain (this defaults to Self but can be overwritten with another pilot name), operating capacity (choose from P1, P2, P.U.T or P1-Tether), take off (fields for location, date, country and time) and landing (the same fields), the time in command (this is automatically calculated for you preventing any time calculation errors), ground crew (so you can keep a record of who was crewing on your flights) and a remarks column (for general notes).

Once you've inputted your flight data, you click done and it will give you the summary which you can check and edit if you need to before saving to your logbook.

iBalloonLog's summary page is then like a digital scrolling version of your paper log book. Each flight is shown in summary, you can click on any flight to see the full details of the flight.
At the foot of the summary page is the totals area showing total time and also totals for P1; P2; P.U.T and Tether all calculated automatically for you. At the top of the page is a backup option which sends your whole file as a CSV file by email to your computer for safekeeping.

Genius but simple, BalloonLog makes it easy to keep up with your paperwork before you've even packed the envelope away (or while your crew are doing it! J)
