Success For Exclusive Ballooning At The Italian Championships...

24th October 2010

Exclusive Ballooning's chief pilot Andrew Holly has won the 2010 Italian National Championships in Mondovi, Italy.

This was the second time Andrew has competed and won the championships following Terni in 2006. Second place and title of Italian National Champion went to Paolo Oggiano with Igor Charbonnier and Giovanni Aimo third and fourth. Igor had flown Sloggi at the Exclusive Cup in Gloucestershire in June of this year.

Andrew was flying G-IRLZ Sloggi 3 whereas fifth place pilot Gianni Curti was flying another Exclusive Ballooning balloon - G-RMSY Gordon Ramsay.

Every flight went ahead in perfect weather with 18 tasks being flown over 6 flights. The last flight was a calculated rate of approach maximum distance double drop task and Andrew was the only pilot to score also winning a separate trophy for the flight.

The event was held in Mondovi a few miles from the newly opened Exclusive Ballooning Italian Office.
