G-CERL, The Bookpeople, has been one of three Exclusive Ballooning hot air balloons at the Tiverton Balloon Festival this weekend, with an aim to interact as much as possible with members of the public.
This follows the primary schools workshops our team supported with the balloon earlier in the week. Over the weekend, children and their parents have been given the chance to learn more about the science of ballooning from the crew and get up close to the equipment with static displays and inflations.
The Bookpeople balloon had prime position for the nightglow on Friday evening, its artwork clearly standing out against the black of the night sky.
The weather turned slightly unkind for flying in the later part of the weekend, but this provided Exclusive Ballooning’s experienced Bookpeople team an opportunity to be the only balloon tethered in the arena for the large crowds, BBC News and independent television cameras during Saturday afternoon.
Also attending the event and flying were our Silverline and Robert Hitchins balloons - and the ever-popular Exclusive Ballooning replica model balloons operated by Ben and Max Alford.
