Exclusive Cup 2011 Takes Off

The 2011 Exclusive Cup is underway with a fantastic flight from Newport in Gloucestershire.

35 Balloons took to the air for three tasks under a perfect blue sky - a judge delcared goal, a maximum distance and a hare and hounds.

The Maximum distance was scored by logger - the first time the Exclusive Cup has done this and it was very well received with everybody getting into the scoring area.

The first task was won by Exclusive's Frazer Davey who, with less than ten hours flying experience, beat the UK's best including a two time world champion as he put his marker onto the cross to score just 2.97m

Another newcomer to competitive flying, Tony Jay won the Hare and Hounds with a very impressive 0.73m and even more impressive as Tony was flying a skyhopper...
